The cover charge is 3,000 yen to 4,000 yen, but it is higher for some live shows.
The shows usually start at 19:30 unless otherwise noted on the schedule. Live shows are not available every day since many days are reserved for private party reservations.

Eclectic in the extreme, Live in Buddy (yes, an odd name) is a venue that is large, unpredictable, and interesting. The spot can be rented out for special groups, and it often is, but most nights it showcases one or another variety of jazz, everything from big band to free jazz to klezmer, and all points in between. You never know what type of music will be there.
It’s a chameleon-like place that takes on the color of the band and fans on that evening. Most people go there just for the band, notified through mailing lists and band websites. Other nights, they rent it out to university or amateur big bands.
It’s a rather big space with big tables, chairs, and a solid sound system. It never feels cramped. There is standard bar food, though eating at one of the small spots nearby is also a good option. The drink menu is extensive.
Live in Buddy is not a place to go just for the atmosphere or for a random jazz night out. Before you go, be sure of who’s playing. Once there, it’s a very laid-back place. Ekoda is a nice little area with its own atmosphere. It is also home to the Salt Peanuts club.
