This great little club is one of the musical gems out on the Chuo Line of western Tokyo. Modest, pleasant and comfy, the master opened this one room juke joint because he loves music, pure and simple. Showcasing up and coming jazz groups, Brazilian trios and acoustic blues and bluegrass, an evening here always feels like real music among good friends. With only 20 ‘zabuton’ on various chairs, benches and stools to sit down, it has a coffee shop vibe. However, the sound system will knock you out with its tight, neat, pristine quality. A lot of musicians play without miking, but the acoustics of the room resonate with that, though no miking may disappoint the master. He sits at his mixing board and fiddles with the sound to state of the art. Hearing music so direct and close is a special pleasure. Always presenting great taste and beautiful music, this club never disappoints.
